Welcome to Learning geology

Welcome to Learning Geology – a community organization that aims to promote geoscience education and literacy worldwide. We are passionate individuals who believe that geology unites us all, regardless of political boundaries. Our organization was co-founded in 2014 and has since grown internationally, thanks to the support of thousands of contributors from around the world.

Our mission is to provide geoscience education lessons to the community, promote geoscience literacy, foster international collaborations, and advocate for underrepresented groups in geosciences. We believe that geology is a fascinating subject that has the power to inspire and engage people from all walks of life. By sharing our knowledge and experiences, we hope to create a more informed and inclusive global community.

Our journey started with a small following, but with the support of our contributors, we have been able to expand our reach and impact. In 2017, we established an international group “Learning Geology Community”, which enabled us to connect with more people and build a stronger network. Today, we are proud to have thousands of members from all over the world, including students, educators, professionals, and enthusiasts.
